NeNe Leakes is an American television personality, actress, presenter, businesswoman and fashion designer best known for her role as one of the original cast members on Real Housewives of Atlanta since its initial season premiered in 2008.
Nene Leakes' bold and outspoken personality have cemented her place as one of the most beloved housewives ever on Real Housewives franchise. Known for speaking her mind without reservation or compromise, Nene often found herself at odds with co-stars due to her blunt approach to situations.
Nene had been the center of much drama during her time on RHOA; however, that seems to be behind her now as she's focusing on other projects and has even launched her clothing line, SWAGG Boutique on Home Shopping Network. Additionally, she remains active in charity circles with an annual event to support women who have experienced domestic violence.
Recently, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes became embroiled in an argument with Kim Zolciak. Nene alleges that Bravo executives blackballed her after she raised concerns over alleged racist comments made by Kim. Nene is currently taking legal action against both Andy Cohen and the network for what she alleges are blackballing tactics used against her after complaining.
Nene's lawsuit alleges that executives at her show have been conspiring against her. She claims they have excluded certain episodes due to not wanting to deal with her drama and she is also charged with creating unnecessary fights among cast members.
Nene is also a successful businesswoman with two restaurants and three clothing lines under her control, as well as multiple books published under her name including her memoir Never Make the Same Mistake Twice and The Nene Diaries.

Nene is also an accomplished model and actress, having appeared in multiple movies such as 2003's The Fighting Temptations. Additionally, she is an experienced exotic dancer.
Nene has also participated in music videos and radio broadcasting; she served as radio host; she has four dogs of her own; she is an avid pet owner; Nene Leakes joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta from its inaugural season in 2008 until its seventh and final season premiered in 2014. As the only original cast member to remain throughout its entirety, she co-authored Never Make the Same Mistake Twice alongside Denene Millner; was an advocate against domestic violence founding the Nene Leakes Foundation for Women Against Domestic Violence while serving as spokesperson for Avon Breast Cancer Awareness campaign as well.
